Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico was born to an adored family of musicians. The music she grew up with was classical and old boleros, as well as classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana is a fan of tangos. Also, she loves operas and any form theatrical performance. Ana began learning to sing and play music at an early age with her mother. She received more formal training in singing when she was 16 years old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. The beginning of her professional career saw her perform with many opera choruses, chamber groups in Guadalajara. In 2000, she relocated into in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she settled in her new home in Southern California. She's a regular solo performer at events, private parties and other occasions and performs the traditional Latin American Music. As a musician and teacher Ana is a dedicated participant in many projects in the community because of her passion and enthusiasm for music. Ana is also a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can instill a passion, particularly among the younger generation in keeping the music vibrant.
