Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has been able to make major international inroads into the Latin pop culture. Una Lady Como Tu, his hit from 2016, was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was made available in 2017 by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The album reached number 8 on the Top Latin Albums Chart. Following that year, he joined forces with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He collaborated with Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He next year, came out with his second album, the chart-topping Dopamina. Then, in 2021 He sang a duet 2021 with TINI in her smash hit Maldita Foto. The singer appeared with him in 2023 for 2000, featuring the hit single La Bachata. Turizo was born into a family of musicians both his parents have been musicians. In interviews he has described participating in music as compulsory. As a child, playing the guitar ukulele and the piano. The initial goal was to be a vet however, his brother Julian persuaded him to learn singing with the help of a Cuban instructor. The end result was that he found his talents for singing, and the result altered the direction of his life.
